Convert Windows 2003 vmware vmdk to hyperv vhd and avoid bluescreen

The main problem you’ll have doing this is that HyperV does not recognise SCSI as a valid boot device, so if you’re VMWare machine is running using the default SCSI drive and you do the conversion from VMDK –

And how will you do this with Domain Controllers?
They won’t boot whithout a network adapter??

what is happening when it boots?

have you tried it with an active directory controller? I think it should come up with bunch of errors but still enable you to log in through the console to configure the network card

I can give it a try, but normally a Active Directory Domain Controller won’t boot without a network adapter. It will start to boot, but never comes to a logon screen.
