Making your keywords cheaper
As search engine marketing strategies such as Google adwords become more competitive it can be expensive to compete for keywords. But like everything if you look around there are still bargains to be found and keywords are no exception.
So how do you identify a bargain keyword? Check out our 5 smart keyword shopping tips below:
Go with geography – Target geographical region, suburb and street name and even landmarks or names of significant buildings that are close to your business.
Â
Product or service varieties – Target not only specific product or service names, but the varieties within your inventory. For example, if you sell pets, look beyond the obvious like “dogs” and “cats”. Try specific breeds such as “Labrador” or “Poodle” too.
Keywords that describe value – Target suitable adjectives like “cheap”, “affordable”, “fast”, “popular” for online customers looking for bargains.
Unique features – Target unique features like “Australian made”, “Melbourne designed” or even “Italian” or “Japanese” if the make and origin of your products is a unique selling point.
Seasonal – Target seasons, like spring or summer if your products go through those cycles.

There are also a lot of tools to aid in Keyword research. And maybe to make a keyword bargain, think of something that is less popular so there would be not much competition.
